COLNAGO G3X DISC ADVENTURE ROAD BIKE 2020
Colnago’s G3X Disc Adventure Road Bike might be their first foray into this growing segment, but it is a typically high-end offering. The carbon frame and fork use a gravel focussed geometry which has longer chainstays and lower bottom bracket for stability and a longer top tube to bring the rider forward into a more compact position when used with a shorter stem. The frame also features generous clearances that allow the use of tyres up to 700x42c or 650bx47 for great versatility. The Shimano RS370 wheelset is tubeless-ready and has been paired with Pirelli’s latest gravel tyre, the Cinturato Gravel H, which has small tread blocks for good performance on tarmac and hardpacked dirt or gravel. Shimano’s gravel-specific groupset has been put to good use, with the super low ratios afforded by the RX810 components going down to a potential 31-34 gear, perfect for steep or long off-road climbs even when laden down with bike packing gear.
